Rudder and plane drive systems
|
Rudder and plane drive systems are subjected to different stresses when the submarine changes course and are required to generate considerable control torque to move and sustain the rudder or planes. It is essential for them to work with a high degree of precision but with as little noise as possible, and of course they must meet military shock resistance requirements.
Our drive systems for rudders and planes consist of the hydraulic drive itself and a laterally incorporated angle transmitter, which monitors the movements of the piston rod of the drive system. These movements are translated into electrical signals and transmitted to the control console in the CIC inside the submarine, where the rudder or plane angle is indicated on a display.
GABLER Maschinenbau GmbH manufactures drive systems for hydroplanes, X-rudders and standard rudders in tailor-made dimensions to suit the customer’s needs. The systems are characterised by their easy integration into the boat, high resistance to interference, low care and maintenance requirements. |
