Submarine suitable Swimmer Delivery Vehicle

In the scope of a feasibility study for the development and testing of a Swimmer Delivery Vehicle system, an overall concept has been drawn up. It has been designed on the basis of the requirements of naval Special Operation Forces and the concept is keyed to their needs.
The overall layout consists of a protective hull casing, telescopic in length and with folding side panels, which shields the diver against water flow and external environmental conditions.
The degree of comfort provided to the divers within the vehicle ensures less drain on their strength, enabling improved performance. The specific features of the fully non-magnetic diver support system makes it suitable for operations in both freshwater and seawater.

Once the Swimmer Delivery Vehicle has been pulled out of the torpedo tube it can be easily converted into operational mode.
Following main features:
- accommodation of 2 divers plus equipment in one diver support system
- intuitive and self-explanatory operation
- ergonomic lateral access
- reduction of the passive and active acoustic profile by material composition
- stable and rigid hull due to material composition in sandwich construction
- salt water resistant
- ability to couple two identical vehicles
- strong telescopic aluminium frame
- electrical propulsion system powered by batteries
non-magnetic design and construction
Modular configurations and internal layouts:
- one to two divers capacity
partial or complete stowage compartments
Swimmer Delivery Vehicle family:
- different configurations
- flexible combinability
