The modular-purpose mast TRIPLE M developed by GABLER Maschinenbau is designed to enable the submarine to be more fleible and more easiliy equipped to meet a wide range of new challenges. The payload modules can be rapidly exchanged, providing the boat with mission-specific equipment and capabilities to enhance covert reconnaissance with aerial support, improve self-defence and soft or down-scaled reaction in a crisis situation or to expand electronic COMINT abilities. The open modular system ensures that TRIPLE M will continue to provide a suitable platform for further components in the future. The different sensors and effectors could be completely operate from the CIC. |

Pressure-tight
To improve self-defence capabilities and provide a more varied scale of reaction to a crisis situation, a machine gun can be used in conjunction with the TRIPLE M system. High-performance folding ELINT/COMINT antennas can be used for specifically targeted reconnaissance or jamming purposes over a wide frequency spectrum with a high degree of directional precision.Together with our subsidiary FS-Antennentechnik GmbH (FSA), GABLER has the necessary expertise in this specialised antenna sector. |
The VOLANS (coVert OpticaL Airborne reconnaissance Naval adapted System)provides the submarine with a bird's eye view of events. A fullyautomatic launching catapult developed by GABLER Maschinenbau enablesthe submarine to launch and operate a number of UAVs to perform covertairborne reconnaissance tasks.
